Ambassador: Rosneft, PDVSA work in close contact

MOSCOW, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Rosneft and Venezuelan national crude producer PDVSA are working in close contact, Russia’s ambassador to Venezuela Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov told PRIME in an interview released on Monday.

“The companies are working in such a close contact that I think new ideas and new proposals appear on an everyday basis,” he said.

Venezuelan companies have proposed various joint mining project to Russian firms over the past year, the ambassador also said.

“The mining industry is vast. There are diamonds, gold and other resources… Venezuelans have started active mining operations in the past year and proposed different interesting joint projects. Some of our private companies are interested. But let’s wait for results of the work,” he said.
